Light

Light (SATB, piano). This SATB anthem draws on texts from Genesis 1:1-3 and John 1:1, 4, 5 to paint a stunning portrait of creation and God’s gift of Jesus Christ. This anthem is moderate to advanced difficulty.

Light (Brian Childers, borrowing from Genesis 1:1-3 and John 1:1, 4, 5)

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
The Earth was without form. The Earth was void.
And dark-ness, total darkness was on the face of the deep.
And the Spirit of God hovered over the waters.
And God said, “Let there be light.” and there was light.

In the beginning was the Word!
The Word was with God, the Word was God.
In him was life, the light of the world!
And He came to his own. We received him not.
But now we say, “He is the Light!”
